Should I do the wet sump modification on my 850 Commando. Is it safe?? The problem is a real pain in the butt. If you guys think I should do it where should I send the timing cover for a good price and good work??? Thanks---Mark Cigainero

Every Commando engine I build has the Nor-Tech modification done to it by AMR in Tucson, AZ. I have yet to receive the phone call from a client stating their bike still wet sumps or has an oil delivery issue.

I have no financial gain by recommending AMR, they just do good work.

Should you do it? That's up to you.

I had AMR do the anti-wet sump mod for me. Couldn't be happier. Also, they did the oil pump mod ("O" rings). Sump is high and dry. I used an inline shut-off valve before. Now I don't have to have some haywire contraption to remind me not to start my bike.
