Wassell Electronic Ignition Issue

I need some help. I have fitted a new Wassell Vape electronic Ignition to my 750 and I cannot get it to spark at all. I’ve triple checked the wiring as per the instructions. I checked the resistance at the plate -176 ohmas per the instructions. I have power going into the control module but nothing coming out. New 6V coils. Thoughts?

Power should only come out of the black box once it senses signal from stator plate/rotor moving. Like other EIs, they go dark after a few seconds of no sensor signal to reduce risk of over heating the components.

Try applying power direct to the coil primary terminals by passing the balck box. With spark plugs removed, connected to HT leads and grounded to head, disconnection of primary power should trigger the spark at each plug. If ok, then issue is with black box or the stator/rotor.

Try connecting a volt meter at the primary negative feed with the black box all connected correctly. Other voltmeter lead to earth (assuming positive Earth bike). Then check if volts are reaching the coils when kicking bike over, waking up the black box as expected.

I particularly like the trick of waving a magnet at the stator to trigger the EI to fire...good easy to perform check.

I checked the coils by bypassing the black box and they spark. i connected my multI-meter to the battery positive connector and the primary negative feed and saw 0.2volts.

Were you kicking over engine, ign on, while checking for power feed to coils? In one video I posted, he shows that waving a magnet near stator plate pick up coils will also trigger the black box to send power to coil primary feed, then triggers spark. If that fails then either stator pick/rotor, or a connection to it or black box is bad (ign on of course).
Can also do this by having the leads into stator plate disconnected and simply connecting them to each other, on/off several times. Course ign needs to be on, power reaching black box etc. If that works it says issue is stator plate not sensing rotor motion.

I was spinning it over using the CNW E-start I recently fitted. I never thought to short the stator/rotor wires which confirms I’m a dumb ass. I did check the resistance and it was 176 ohms which is to spec. I’m over in the UK now so I will take a look when I get back.
