where would i find the VIN number on my Norton. Anybody

The number stamped on the headstock plate is normally regarded as the VIN number.

The headstock plate number should match the number on the primary side engine case. However, it is minus the model number, i.e. 20M3S 14848 would have the VIN on the headstock plate of 14848. Of course if the engine has been changed, these numbers may not match.

Also the transmission should have the same number stamped on it across the top bolt boss.
