Are you certain that was Phil yates on the guzzi? He did make a big point on here once that he couldn't understand why anyone would take a ride out with a mate and said he always rode alone! The bloke on the red Guzzi is none other than our old mate Phil Yates. Some may remember him.
The other day when you visited me, you mentioned the bad condition of the roads in Victoria. In your video, there did not seem to be many pot-holes in the road surfaces in NSW ? Perhaps the heavier traffic on Victorian roads does more damage after it rains ? I think the pot-holes appear because of the pressure of water being forced into cracks by vehicle tyres.
Nice video but not sure about being over taken by a car lol, I have met Phil Yates when he was up here in Brisbane and found him to be a nice bloke, he came around to see my 850 Featherbed, can't understand why so many people had a dislike for him on here.
We have some great roads up here in S.E Queensland for motorcycling and a lot of twisty ranges, I never been down Victoria but love to ride there some day.

It's good to hear that he has mellowed maybe he could be allowed back on here?Ah, we all mellow and I'd come a long way to see him. He and his mate Chris on the Triumph were showing me the way to Kangaroo Valley over the mountain. We had a coffee and parted ways. I'm a bit that way myself. More than two bikes is worrisome for me. I like riding to my own agenda with not much of a timetable. The Norton is as lovely a travelling companion as you'll get. It constantly talks to you and doesn't require you to talk back.

Another fun video. Makes me want to get the gopro out again and try to show some of the local canyon runs.

Really not sure about British drivers being better ! I have to deal with British drivers every day, or the education being any better, mind you the last time I rode a bike in Australia was 1986 so a lot could have changed!!!Around Melbourne is not a good place to ride a motorcycle. The car drivers are usually too cut and thrust - either that or they are texting on their mobile phones. When I was a kid it was even more dangerous because a lot of drivers were drink-affected. Overall, in recent years their driving has improved and the cars are better, but now it is all too fast. If you are riding a motorcycle, you are not a threat to them, so they simply don't see you. I was in the UK a few years back - the car drivers seemed to be a lot better than in Oz. But the whole British education system is probably better.
So . . . that one way bridge . . . . how do you know that it's clear to enter to cross? Didn't look like you could see all the way and I saw no light or other signal.
