Have been watching some of the bike related videos on Facebook reels. As most people know if you look at a couple of similar videos, you are tracked through their magical technology, and your feed into the reels on your page then become flooded with like videos. Everything from endless wheelies, to trick riding, to high speed riding, and of course the crashes. I've seen some trick riding exhibitions at different bike events I've attended, but some of the wheelieing and trick riding done on some of these reels put those exhibitions I've seem previously to shame. What some of these people, (both guys and girls), do is impressive, unbelievable, disturbing, and even frightening. It looks like from the background and any speech that's recorded that many of them may be from Southeast Asia, maybe India, or even central or south America. Hard to say. Many of the individuals performing some of the most radical riding are quite often just dressed in shorts and sandals, no helmets, doing this with an additional rider, and doing much of this on the streets, and often on very crowded streets. A lot of this is beyond daredevil and is just flat out bats**t crazy. They are riding a wide variety of bikes from small displacement bikes, scooters, crotch rockets, superbikes, They're on Jap bikes, Beemers, even seen a modern Triumph, etc. Just about anything and everything. Sitting here inside during winter in the frozen midwest I guess I've got too much idle time and time to burn watching these things. When spring arrives here and am able to get back out and start riding I'd guess the way others ride will be on my mind.

@quawk , I thought your last sentence was going to be, "when spring arrives here and am able to get back out and start riding I'm going to try a few of those stunts myself."

Personally I love it
Reminds me of high beech Epping forest in the 70s great times

Can you clue me in on what/where " high beech Epping forest in the 70s" is.
It's in Essex just north of London in Epping forest where bikers, car nuts, cyclists, horse riders meet up usually on a Sunday at one of tea huts they still do but it's very tame these days
Back in the 70s into the early 80s there were stunts every Sunday at the top tea hut
There used to be a green with a triangular road around it there'd be cars doing burn outs
Bikes doing donuts or drag racing or wheelying etc
Plus trikes wheelying
And one of the funniest was a reliant 3 wheeler van
It drove along with the back doors open with two fat blokes standing in the back with their hands gripping the roof
When It got level with us the two blokes would lean back and the driver would floor it and it'd Wheely the whole length of the road 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣then turn round and do it again
My mate had a V8 rover trike that'd pick it's front end up
It's all been tamed down now
The cut through on the triangle section has been blocked
There's a 20 mph limit with speed humps and chicanes everywhere

I never do stunts on motorcycles because I am more interested in staying alive and uninjured. The simplest of accidents often seem to do the most damage. When I was in my mid-20s, I had to learn to walk again. I crashed my brother's mini-bike. I slid up the road keeping my head from bouncing, but my toe caught. A piece of bone broke-off inside the knee joint and was attached to both cartilages. It all happened at less than 30MPH. When I was operated on, they turned me over half-way through the procedure.

In many of the videos/reels I'm referring to, I can assure you the last thing the young people in them are thinking about is getting hurt or injured, .....that is until the big wreck.

I was directly reminded of this song The Battle of Epping Forest - Genesis

Unto each his own my friend.

But to me… that track makes me realise that they shoulda played Genesis in Guantanamo Bay… that wudda broke ‘em… !!
Everything in life is about mindset and attitude. I do not drink much alcohol, but I really notice that what sounded good the night before often sounds like crap in the morning after.

But pleasant compared to the all time champion of droning never ending repeated torture - Kashmir by Zep .
