Vetter for better

It may be tricky to access hand twist wing nuts or knobs and may have to modify the frame supports or make your own. The Vetter and Vesco I have mainly support on rails parallel to tank not out in front like the smaller racer cafe bikini covers. Peel will not need/use the supports that came with the big fairings as her crash cage top tube run next to tank to use but ain't figured out how yet to avoid brackets sticking off the cage tubes only the fairing.

Winter home/car/wife repairs and orders took out most my fall riding flings but finally caught up and even put finishing paint touches on Peel frame while sun was warm so took off on SuVee with ~2 hr light left in pleasant temps before freezing rain hits but got caught after dark d/t loose battery connection but nothing got in my way. I have given thought to protecting fairing for take downs I can avoid and think Peel can take a toss down w/o any damage now. Vesco fairing allowed me to stick in two 55 watt driving lights that double as turn signals so make like riding with fairing even more.

The fairing I have is very light and is only one layer not an inner and outer with speakers and such. I think a very simple mounting system could be fabricated that would allow it to be put on and taken off quickly. I don't want all those extras on it...just the wind protection.

Leaves me grinning on a big light wind splitter you describe but may require more support points if not rigid enough on its own. Custom fitting these fairing sure helps to have two people involved so have fumbled on my own trying to balance fairing w/o much support eyeballing for alignments with tape and blocks to step back pleased then it falls on the carpet as tape slowly let go. I'm pretty impressed by the supermagnets grip so may only have to screw down in couple places and let magnets in other spots hold the rest of it stable. As weight is always on our minds especially with reports of those removing big fairing d/t bothering forks/suspension so Peel's fairing supports will be alu tube. So far by far the best wind screen I've tried with a NationalCycle from JCWhitney [when cost half what they do now]. That plus the grid shields took off ALL wind blast and sound but for some back wash up my back side. If was pretty light and easy on off with wing nuts fasteners. Show us what ya end up with to ooh and ah on.

This shield allowed cig lighting at any speed, self stablized/dampened steering in harsh gusts and semi truck passing blasts and survived numberous crashes on Peel and couple on Trixie over a decade before it broke up.

Thinking aluminum supports also to keep weight down.

I have windshield on my trike that is similar to the one in your photos although it is Hondaline. :D

Put a little windshield/fairing on the 919 to cut the chest blast down but much smaller than normal to keep the "naked" look of the bike. That one would look good on the Norton too...hmmm...

Will keep you posted when I get into this project.
