No, I haven't seen that. Basic physics. Any object is attracted towards the earth by gravitational attraction equally, it has nothing to do with weight. But air resistance changes the whole effect. So if the Norton has less air resistance it will arrive first. Then one gets into terminal velocity and all that.

Ugh yoose motorcycle physicists likely set up the foundation of leaning tower of Piza then tired to dazzle us saying on purpose for future gravity experiments, which has nil to really do with this sidelined discussion. What we got here is a failure to communicate on springs and inertia wave in elastic items, so put this physics in pipe to smoke before carrying on. I used to to rope work and sky dive so terminal velocity familiar & not worth getting more scare after ~ 250 ft free fall. My bungee jumps apply more to isolastics though.

Ok so use a inert soap solution. haven't done mine since the mid 70"s.
Dereck

That woks.

Or use gasoline -but don't tell me if you burn the place down....

no not petrol. might effect the rubbers????????????

I was told that was what the factory used.
It would only affect the rubber for a very short time and then it would be gone. Jim

Been a long time since I replaced any isos, but I used Ruglyde when I did. Mostly because I had some around, but it seemed to work well.

Ken, Before I got brute efficient with dry power lube I did use black power gun 'bear' grease out my possibles bag though was a vegetable based hydro carbon w/o much odor. I start the first cushions lips in but following one enters tube almost fully on one hard satisfying smackeroo. My Commandos are definitely black smith age work.
