He has made a 6 cylinder Z1 Kwacker. Watching the video of him hacksawing the cylinder block is quite amazing.

He had his V twin on show at the Stafford show a while ago and was standing with it. We had quite a chat with him. That was made with mostly hand tools too. An inspiring character.

Not distracting from his achievement, didn't someone else in the UK do the same thing with two Venoms back in the oooooh 1990s ?

This abstractly links to my Seeley Commando! I brought a set of Norvil forks complete with brakes. Usual long time search for parts, I only had a frame. This was in about 96. Fairspares told me the price of the wheels & discs #### me!
I then saw a small add & travelled to Nottingham in the small hours before a Mallory race meeting & collected a brilliant set of wheels & discs for a great price. I just did not have enough time as I would have stayed there for hours! The fella was changing the wheels for cast wheels as he felt he needed more tyre! He then shows me the bike up on stands cos I had the wheels in the van.
1000 cc Venom running on his own crankcase. Why the bigger wheels?because he had it in a Harris chassis!
He then showed me the mk1, in a touring set up with an adapted original frame. Some clever people around.

Thinking about it. There was also an Enfield twin on home made crankcase based on the bullet. That was running in the 90s as well. Years before the latest offering of such a beast. Wonder if it was based on the original job. I brought a model 14 v twin in a derelict state in my teens. Daylight dawn & I sold it on. Just did not have the skills to save it. Alan is an inspiration hacksaw & files & my favourite the Honda 6.

If you look on. YouTube you can spend hours watching a lot of Alan Millyards creations, from v-twin Honda 50s to 5 cylinder Kawasakis, V8 Kawasaki, v-12 Kawasaki and loads more. He is an inspiration to behold. He really Deserves his own TV show, give him the ideas and let him build.

In another video he admitted he's not the first to do a Velocette V Twin and that there are 2-3 others. He says they dont look like factory bikes that they are "Specials" , whatever that means I dont know?

A lot of what impresses is his small garage and usually small budget. When he whips out that hacksaw and has at it you realize that hands on skills with small tools is not as common as it once was.
