Hi guys, I have ex valve with a 06-7570 part number on and a in valve with a made in england V263 on. I also have a in valve guide with G454 at least i think its intake guide. Do any of you guys have some kind chart to tell me number is for what ? I got a parts lot off ebay with two new intake vavles marked V240 and one new ex vavle marked james made in england G381OKE it has a grove in the fase of the vavle thay dont look like NORTON vavles to me unless early NORTON vavles. Thanks for any input Phil

It's interesting that the Alpha catalog lists the same number for 750 and 850 guides. 850 guides are much thicker than 750 guides. You can bore a 750 head for 850 guides, but you can never fit 750 guides in an 850 head.

Thanks Ron I see the year For 750 runs from 72 to 74 Im not aware of a 74 750. My 850 is titled 74 but has a born on date of 10-73 and has an RH10 head.Would that head take a G454 guide ? My 72 combat has a C on the head but no RH3. Would that head take a G454 guide ? I have new vavles and guides From a parts lot got vavles V# and guides G#. Do you know of a list thats a little more explanatory ? Thanks for any help Phil

As RennieK says, the RH10 is an 850 head which takes the large guide (G547 intake, G548 exhaust). A Combat or any 750 head will take the smaller guides (G454 intake, G453 exhaust). An exception would be a few RH6 750 heads that had 850 guides. These were designated RH6S.

As to valves, 750 and 850 Commando valves are dimensionally identical, with a change to stellite tips in '72. Atlas valves are shorter or longer (can't remember which).

I confused myself when looking at that Alpha list. The guide numbers are correct, it was the model year overlap that got me.
