Valve adjusting tools

I made these by using separate feeler gauges and wrapping them with shrink tube (3 layers) which makes them MUCH easier to handle. No more fumbling through the collection of gauges a dozen times to find the right one. I also used the next oversize. If the bigger one won't go then you know it's the correct size. This way you can double check your work. Then I used an ignition wrench and cut off the box end. This makes the whole job much easier.
Also applicable to adjusting isolastics and rotor to stator clearances.

Saves much time and aggravation. Cost is a set of feeler gauges and a set of ignition wrenches from Temu. Then some shrink tube. I used marine grade double wall tube ordered from THE HEAT SHRINK TUBE BUDDY on eBay.

I think I'll overlap the go no go pairs an inch and use the shrink wrap to hold them together at the overlap. Then all I would have to do is spin the tool around to get the go no go joy and not have to deal with 4 feeler tools.

Thanks for the inspiration.

I did something similar for my Himalayan as it’s awkward to get an accurate feel due to the limited access and angle, so I bent the tip of the gauges to about 45°, then glued them to lolly sticks. Worked a treat, and I got a treat too👍😜
