ZFDs triple got me thinking. Years ago I remember seeing an article in Easyriders or Walnecks about a V4 engine for cruisers built from two Commando top ends. Believe that it may have been from the Super-Vee guys. Anything ever come from this, anyone ever see one , here it run :?:

Easyriders! oh man... There was a post a year ago on a 4 cyl a guy in california built. I'm not sure what happened to the bike. There were some photos of it posted on the Norton Owners web site. The angle was similar to a harley.

Yes, I can remember a guy coming into my first little shop- must have been in the late 1970s/early 1980s- with photos of that engine, trying to tell me this was what everybody had been waiting for. That guy was starting to get into Harleys, riding a Triumph at the time, and later became one of Germany's biggest wholesalers of Taiwanese Harley accessories (or should I say "Genuine Harley parts, designed in America"?). I laughed him out of the shop- it seemed an over-complicated and potentially troublesome way to try to beat the Japs at their 4-cylinder game. Never heard from it since.
