3 months of hard labor of love.
Mostly cosmetic, but runs really good.
Sorry about the big pics.
Set screen size to 80% and I can see whole pic.
(Ctrl + rotate mouse thumbwheel)
1200x800 thought they would fit.

Now to take her for a ride while the rain has let up a bit.

Luverly job Surfdog! Now you've dunnit! I'll have to put the black tank and covers back on?! Really can't beat black and gold on the commando! Altho, I still think the white/red/blue is prettty unique. If it weren't for the big $$$$'s in paint jobs, I'd have one in each factory colour!

Hey Diablough,
Its the old alloy lucas style triumph style light I found on ebay.
It took some fabrication.
I had a friend with a drill press bore the holes for the rear hoop.
But then we still had the problem of the bulb socket being right where the rear loop was.
I pressed the bulb socket out and epoxied it forward on the assembly to clear the hoop.
Don't forget positive ground. I wired up a ground wire to connect to my brand new wiring harness.
Previous posts contain details of a disasterous meltdown of the main harness.
Whew came out of it ok I'd say, a mere 10 day setback while waiting for the replacement.
And then a lot of headscratching on the re-install of the harness, the tail light was the very last thing electrical to be hooked up.

Oh m yes, Surfdog, for a rush job : )
as good as a center fold to run your eyes over.
I agree that seat is sweet icing on the cake.
I would like to use the same type front mud guard
on my special,
Where does one fine it or order?

Always good to have a photo before the headers chrome seasons.
