I do agree with you. It's just that I was pleasantly surprised by the clarity with which Irving wrote and the relavance of his ideas. They understood much, but lacked our access to modern materials and compounds. It reminds me of a partical beam weapon invented by Tesla when he was about 90 - tungston particals. It was actually tried by the army at Wright Patterson AFB. But it failed then because they did not have the material which could have made it work. It works now.
