Twin throttle cables or junction box?

Hi guys, I need to replace my crappy twist grip and I'm thinking about going to a Tommaselli Twin Cable Daytona twist grip with my Amal Monoblocs. What are the advantage/disadvantages of having 2 full throttle cables vs. the single cable + junction box?

A lot of folk reckon that twin carbs are 'always going out of synch'...

I reckon twin pull twist grips don't help this.

Keeping the cables twix carb and junction box as short as possible, and using a single pull throttle has always been my preference.

Got sick of trying to make my cable feed reliable with the junction box in place and installed a Tommaselli twin pull.

I've tried both, I don't see a problem with either.
The only issue I had ( which won't be a problem for you) is that when you use big carbs, the junction box may not have the throw to get full throttle. Some of the junction boxes can only move the cable through about 34mm so once you have a bit of slack in the cable you may not get full throttle.

Thanks guys. I will just get the Daytona twin cable twist grip and try both ways. I can always run one cable from the dual twist grip if I want.

I did have trouble with the junction box and WOT. It was a cable length issue but annoying to say the least. Thanks guys.

I've always felt the junction box gives a bit more friction and if the end cables are too short they can hold the slides off the stops. I don't like them, I use a TZ Yamaha throttle with separate cables, as much as I don't like Japanese parts on a British bike. I like to wind the throttle open and see both slides disappear at the top of the chokes, and then drop closed with a solid click before I set the stop screws.
