Loctite???I wonder what has changed on the later bikes then?
Had a phone call this morning from a courier and wants to pick mine up on Monday 9th June, let’s hope I get it back soon thank you Norton. The fact that this can even be tracked is likely a result of a big improvement in provess.
Looks like our bikes will be in the van together on Monday.Had a phone call this morning from a courier and wants to pick mine up on Monday 9th June, let’s hope I get it back soon thank you Norton.![]()

Now you sound American.Has anyone tried rejecting the bike ? After not being able to ride it since April I am beyond paying for it to stand there doing nothing.
I’m not sure, but I believe that you have to demonstrate repetitive issues and repetitive failure to address them.Has anyone tried rejecting the bike ? After not being able to ride it since April I am beyond paying for it to stand there doing nothing.
Yep I'm in Cheshire, pick up is tomorrow.Mine is getting picked up in Runcorn this morning.
I know of one more in the area also getting picked up today. So maybe they are now collecting from the Cheshire area. They did originally say they would try to get mine sorted in time for the TT.
But at least it's getting done now. IV also takes lots of pictures and videos this morning to show there is no damage to the bike before it's loaded.
The issue is .. do we know what the correct thread lock to use, or the correct torque setting, can we buy the new gasket that will be needed.. I hear there is a shortage of these, as demand has unexpectedly spiked.. finally of course if you own a newish expensive bike, do you want to void its warranty?..I know nearly everyone with a new Norton is getting the recall work done by the factory.
I personally would do it myself if I were in that situation.
If I were in the UK I’d have Stu do it, over the factory.
I understand why everyone is having it done by Norton, legal, warranty, and delivery purposes.
But opening up the cases, cleaning, inspecting and addressing the improperly installed hardware with thread lock isnt rocket science.
For me, it would alleviate the down time, stress, possibly of damage and delays.

Many people, at least on this forum already have or do their own bike maintenance and repairs on older bikes.
I would imagine there are some people on here who can't even tie there own shoelaces never mind read a torque wrench. The issue is .. do we know what the correct thread lock to use, or the correct torque setting, can we buy the new gasket that will be needed..
