I was making good progress on my 850 project, but then had a financial/medical "Rest" this year.

Anyway that's in part overcome for the moment, got a TTi 'box delivered last week (And Alton starter.), but the data sheet is a little "Basic", so has anyone got drawings, bearing/seal details at all please?

Paul, I wasn't able to get the detail I wanted for mine when I replaced a mainshaft.

But if you need to pull it apart it is very straightforward. Sprocket and retaining nut off. Outer cover off, undo inner cover, and it all comes out together, leaving the sleeve gear and layshaft bearing in!

Sleeve gear is on two big bearing races!

I guess a new box in the UK comes from Minnovation today, surely they have or can access the information you need?

I bought mine used (and abused) after it had done a season in a sidecar, hence the need for a mainshaft. This was pre Minnovation when the late Brian Richards did the importing.

If you need specific parts, contact Bruce at TTi directly! The seals on mine still keep oil in after about 8 or 9 years. There are no gaskets. I use Threebond 1184 on the two cover faces and Wellseal on the filler cap.

TTi keep ratio/build specs against the marked number.

Hi Paul,
I can't help with bearing sizes, other than that they are metric, but I can email you several photos I took whilst mt TTi was apart for a check over. I might also have a spare sleeve gear seal I can measure.
Martyn.

From the pic's I've seen it all looks relatively straight forward Steve.

Bought mine direct/TTi Steve, I was aware that no gaskets were used, I used Yamabond when I had the shop, but need some new stuff now and the Threebond looks very similar.

Anything would be really handy thanks Martyn!

My TTI box came direct from Bruce. I expected it to have Norton shift pattern, but it was upside down. The length of the prohibits fiddling the linkages to get reverse pattern. So Bruce sent me the right chane drom, and I sent the one which came with ther box. When I fitted the new change drum, I use silicone to seal it - the bloody thing leaked. So I bought threebond and I have resealed it. Hopefully it will not leak again.
When I tried the box without changing the drum, I took the bike to Winton and tried to ride it around the pits. I had started it in what I thought was second gear. As I tired to ride it atoud the pits, it would no go. So I gave the motor a substantial rev and dropped the clutch. The bike took off like a jet and I just caught up with it before ir reached the fence I would not have thought any bike could do that in 5th gear
I stuffed up the cush drive in the Manx clutch, and I am just about to put it all back together again. But it is starting to look better now that I have got on top of the bullshit. I used to be conditioned to rebuild old Britsh crap, but I think I lost the plot for a while.

The 6 speed TTI box is really beautiful inside. - Beautiful engineering. It is suppose to be a copy of a Schafleitner. In the 1960s they cost about $5000. That was the price I paid in about 2014. My mate was a top A grader in the 1960s. he had a 5 speed in his 500cc Manx and a 6 speed in his 350cc Manx. I was always too lousey to buy anything more than a 4 speed close ratio box. It was the one thing which really held me back. With 4 speeds close ratio, there is always some place on a race circuit where the gearing is wrong
