OK people, as some of you may know I am (very slowly) building a Triton.
Tonight I'm thinking about exhaust systems, I was thinking about going for the traditional swept back Goldstar style pipes like these (but with Goldstar style silencers (mufflers))
However, these present several disadvantages, first of all they are chrome and I'm lazy, I hate polishing chrome! Secondly they have to be removed if you want to access the primary or the timing cases and in some cases to access the points cavity.
So I was thinking about something like this from Norton guru Steve Maney, it is a race system for a Norton but I'm sure something similar is available for a Triumph, if not this system could be adapted. He also sells an optional silencer kit which would keep the noise down if required.
These photos came from the NYC Norton website and it's got some great articles. Have a look here http://www.shelbynyc.com/nycnorton/Racer2004.htm
Your thoughts and opinions please, remember it's a Triton so there's no right, wrong or stupid replies (Except telling me to put a Norton lump in it! )
Thanks
