Torque of alternator rotor nut

So just having installed an RGM Atlas belt drive, the question comes up as to how to apply 70 lbs of torque to this nut. I’m thinking that amount applied to a 20mm belt may not be good for it. Thoughts?​
 
I'll +3 that.

I've done it 3 times with a 20mm RGM belt and 2 times with a 25mm belt. I did not have any problem with the belts.

Gents, torque is measured in lbf-ft. A toothed belt transmits a static tensile force, not a torque. Using common belt parameters for a Norton, 70 lbf-ft equates to about 500 lbf of tensile pull at the belt.

Simply use a wooden block between a tooth and a stationary point.
I wonder if that would work with a belt pulley. The teeth are kind of shallow in depth. I am not knowing.

Much easier to use a clutch locking tool with the belt on both the engine and clutch basket.

Just finished putting mine back together after changing the main seal, I to kinda cringe thinking it going to slip a tooth. It's never had a problem doing it that way.
