Ok best of luck with the tank & good luck getting your money back from an Indian vendor if it turns out to be shite.

Is there an image of the bottom?
Calico patchwork? Or one stamped piece? The early ones were horrid, hopefully they have come along, quality wise. ✅
Pics when you can please. And thank you, for trying it out. 😎

Ebay will refund your money and often allow you to keep the product if the vendor refuses to offer a refund. (They did that for me once)

Then there's Paypal refund policy. Ebay is probably the safest way to buy over the internet.

Well you won't know till you give it a go, you covered your arse anyway if it don't workout, if it's un painted and it leaks you be able to weld it before you put fuel in it or if the tap holes are in the wrong place can fix it just don't paint it till it's all fitted properly, good luck and fingers crossed.

The goldstar tank I bought from India was superb
The issues I had with were not with the tank but fittings
The butterfly cap didn't fit too well and had no seal
The tank badges didn't fit tight
The fuel taps both leaked
And the breather pipe didn't have a taper to match the tank
All that said the tank itself was superb
No leaks , paint and chrome superb and delivered to my door for £230

For any Commando tank other than a Roadster tank it would be worth a punt, but the Indian Roadster tanks have the wrong shape ie too boxy so Emgo is the better option.

This boxy shape can be seen in the listing photo's so on that point if you do not like it in the flesh there will be no return possible.

Emgo in raw steel bottom
The Norton logo in my view has not been placed correctly also...it is at the end of the day a demo photo ...so the delivered goods could be so much different ....good luck & look forward to your up date...

SIDE NOTE ON EMGO TANKS. i bought a emgo (roadster) tank as a second backup/color change tank from my original. the tank is very well made, but it does require a fair amount metal work and prep before even the first coat of primer can be applied. some of the pics of the paintwork i've seen on the indian tanks is pretty bad although some look decent, so i'm guessing it's hit or miss. some of the white/blue-red stripes tanks i've seen are nowhere near close to being correct. my take on indian tanks - with all of them being sold just on fleabay, seems every tom, dick, and harry is knocking these things out from their home shops. aside from form and fit, quality has to be all over the place. (my 2-cent opinion) with emgo, you can assume a single manufacturer with a proven design.

i have got tank n side panels for £310, the emgo tank would be £320 plus sidepanels £60 then painting £350-400
hence worth a punt as basically half price
