To weld or not to weld? That is the question...

I have been riding without a chain guard for a while now after the small looped bracket on the swingarm that you bolt the chainguard through broke. I don't weld, so was going to have my friend tack-weld it back to the frame, if and when he ever gets the time. It's such a little piece, but would bear considerable vibration (hell, so does the whole rest of the bike). Does anyone think JB Weld or some other similar two-part epoxy would suffice, or would it fail again, do you suppose?

Not a big deal, but was wondering what a few people thought.

Thanks

JB weld is not the same as welding. You would be better off making a a little bracket you can hold with a hose clamp as a temporary measure.

I agree that JB weld isn't up to the vibration loads imposed on the chain guard mount loop.
