Hi!
I will soon get my Norton Commando-73 road legal, the police have asked for a copy of at title.
I ask if some of the Norvegian Commando owner could send me a copy.

Hei!
Skal snart innom biltilsynet for godkjenning av min -73 750cc Commando. Biltilsynet har bedt om kopier av vognkort for norske Commandoer.
Er det en eller flere der ute som kan sende meg kopi av sitt vognkort?

For what reason? To get general data of the bike? I only know the German "Fahrzeugbrief" but usually there is far less data on a title than on a "Brief".

Maybe it's better to get in touch with Joe Seifert at Norton Motors Deutschland (ZFD on this board) and ask for a data sheet.

Hi!

In Norway we have rules for everything, that is god and that is bad.
If you import a motorbike or a car you often stomble in to problems.
In my situation it is the state Road Administration who shall give my Norton a road clearence.
They want to now everything who is writen in the Norwegian title or a V5.
And since none of my friends have a 750 Commando I am stuck.

No road legal Norton!

Can you not get relevant data and specs from a "workshop Manual"........ I got know idea what you want :?: :?: :?: ....... What exactly do you need to know in the way of information.. Ask the questions specifically 1,2,3,4, etc.. Lots of different laws and terminology/meanings throughout. Im sure you will get the right answers......

Same here.

So what needs to be in that Norwegian doc and how "official" does it need to be?

Here in Germany a copy of another German brief is only good if the TUeV guy is lazy and accepts this short-cut. But for a Norton we don't have a problem at all because as I said Joe can do a data sheet for a very small fee (plus the TUeV realized that they can actually make money from this and sell their own data sheets which contain less than Joes).

IIRC what Joe usually specifies is the model (as exact as the dispatch book states it - my 1970 was entered as a Roadster, the others only as 750 or 850), the weight, top speed, tyre sizes and noise emission values (for static and passing) and maybe the number of seats. What else do your authorities need?
