This is an elder Boyer, not sure which Mark
Would 3000 RPM be enough to get full advance or should one really rev the motor to 5000 as per Boyer instructs.
The Boyer's 31 degrees (or whatever you set it to) of advance not occurring until 5K is one good reason to pick a different E-ignition that gets the advance all in by 3k.
Not to mention the baffling pickup wire failures.
Boyer Ash? Wash your mouth out!! There was me thinking you were a maggie man. With over 30 years of running my old Boyar I never did had that problem, but then my Norton is a freak lol.

Hopefully the old girl won't shake herself to bits
I see myself giving finger signals to my still to be recruited helper
That's really good info , never seen that beforeI've always found this information useful.

I set it at a less fraught 23 degrees BTDC @ 3,000rpm then check @ 5,000. My neighbours appreciate it at least.
