Tight new Mainshaft 1st gear 73 commando

Rebuilding 73 commando transmission and I replaced 3 gears Mainshaft second laysahft 2nd and mainshaft 1st gear . The 1st gear that I have received second one incidentally, is too tight to go on the mainshaft I have measured it with a dial gauge and it appears to be about 2 thou smalerl in diameter. The other gears slid on with no problems. has anyone experienced this problem this is the second gear they have sent me?

Yes, I had a similar issue with first gear not fitting on the shaft.

I sent both the gear and shaft back and received replacements with no questions asked.

Choices are send it back or take it to someone with a pin hone to remove a couple thou.
