Is it simply a color difference or is there more to differentiate the two?

I don't recall if the Blackbird had the nacelle and shrouded fork, with the T-Bird being the chrome dome & springer fork?

I'd prefer a Blackbird with a springer.

Pretty sure it was just something of a slang name for a Thunderbird painted black. If it was painted in America, other mods could have been done as well, such as a "normal" headlamp.

If you changed the mudguards and headlight and fitted knobbly tyres, a 650 could be a "Trophybird."

Some Blackbirds definitely had the nacelle headlight. In fact those are the only ones I'm interested in.

This is my version...

Gotta work with what you've got. It's a '56.

I like browsing this dealership. They always have nice vintage stuff for sale. They used to do more on ebay, but I don't see quite as much anymore. I like the demo videos they put on because I recognize the neighborhood. Bad thing is, its so close, I'd like to go buy up their inventory.
