Any one use a throttle lock or another sort of throttle device to ease the right hand strain on a longer ride? I took off the original throttle in 1973 opting instead for a 1/4 turn unit instead.......(Yea, I know, young and dumb move) so I no longer have the adjusting screw as came originally.

Thanks!

Here's mine. Not the best picture. Downside of this is that the throttle assembly get slid out and using the horn button is out of reach.

Throttlemeister are very good and don't take up any grip space, they look like bar end weights. I have one on my Mk3, best money I've spent on old man aids yet. Graeme

I wonder if an Air lever could be adapted, with a second cable.
Graeme, sorry to hear about the Aids, have you told anyone else.

Every Circus has a Clown, some have several !

For the adults, here is a picture of a throttlemeister. You get a matching one for the left bar, both are weighted and come in various colours and weights. These are the light set.
Turn the knob anti clockwise and it locks the throttle with friction, you can still turn the throttle off if needed.

Mmmm.. the only AIDS I've sufferd from is Alchohol Induced Dizzy Spells

Dave, I have the standard Mk3 twist grip (only 1 cable and 1 Mikuni Carb) the throttlemeister will work with any throttle, just cut the end out of the grip. They fit into the internal of the bar with a fancy dyna bolt thing, like a bar end mirror but good quality. A nylon sleve fits between the grip and the throttle tube. When you turn it anti clockwise it pushes against the nylon sleeve and friction holds the throttle on. Even with vibrations. You can still operate the throttle but it has friction resistance. Turn the other way and it is free.
Great for waving at clowns, texting, or for those cage drivers that require the fingers of both hands to get the message through, or anything else you do using 2 hands while riding.
