My throttle is really difficult to twist. The cables themselves are in pretty good shape and I never had this problem before, so I dunno what can be wrong. Twist grip is lubed OK. I'm wondering if I have the optimum routing for the cables.

From the grip it goes between the headlight ears then under the tank on the right side of the frame tube. 1-2 splitter, then over the top of the (stock) head steady rubber buffers to the carbs. Is this how the factory ran them? Twin Amals BTW.

Thanks

Your cable routing sounds OK, but the throttle shouldn't be stiff.

What have you done to the bike recently that could possibly have caused this problem, as you said you didn't have the problem before?

Are the chokes still fitted?

I did a frame-off, so it all came apart this year. I rearranged the routing today to run the left cable between the frame tubes instead of from underneath and it's much better now. Final stages of sorting it all out.
