That's an interesting exercise.
Well executed but I wonder "why"?
DOHC chain (belt) drive on a long stroke single with limited RPM.
No front brake (speedway?).
Very flash, but again - why?
The small 'un behind it would run rings around it and not need refuelling as much.
Cheers (and Merry Christmas)

"Retired banker Nerio Pancaldi has a hobby. Every year he takes an old Italian road bike (usually a small OHV single) and converts it to an OHC or DOHC or Desmo design! DOHC via a cascade of gears."

Fascinating mixture.
The frame bolts to the crankcases as in the prewar 16H/Model 18 diamond frames, but with telescopic forks and swing arm. Dolls head gearbox matches a diamond frame. Quite tall, model 19 engine?? Is the OHC gear driven?
As for why, well some people have the skill to waste their time in wonderful ways.

My comment wasn't meant to denigrate your contribution but simply ask the question.
Merry Christmas to you

I often ask the same question!

But, being honest, I think my own mild scepticism is primarily fuelled by jealousy of people who have THAT much spare time on their hands !!

I didn't "feel" denigrated - - -
No - I totally understand how some would feel about these hobby's. When I see someone who's built a running/driving 1/10th scale formula one car that has soooo many hours of fabrication in it. It's cool - but - all I can think is "you need a girlfriend".
These motorcycles are a bit cooler though - at least you can ride them (not talking about the girlfriend).

Obviously no brake on RHS - possible on LHS but no cable evident so likely no.
End result - no front brake - much like speedway (and some other sports).

It’s got a 7” full width hub, a front brake lever and the cable showing under the bottom yoke. And you reckon it has no brake?

A gearbox, two gallon tank, clip-ons and rear set footrests would be a unique approach to speedway.
