I was reading out loud the extra fork travel achieved by extra spring addiction..the wife a bit on the deaf side agreed that seven is better than 5,1/2.
My Voxan cafe racer doe's a fantastic job with 3.1/2 inch's of fork travel...so is size important?
Short controled Action is better than a lazy 7 inch ..all day. what do you think Lads :?:

Happy riding

Keep your wife away from Motocrossers :D

If every road was as smooth as glass and as sticky as Elmer's Glue on a 3 year old your suspension wouldn't need any travel. My Volvo S60R has about 4" of travel and does nicely with that, it does have three actice chassie damping settings.

Given the roads we do ride on more travel increases the comfort zone especially if you set it up so that with riding weight aboard you have proper sag; an old racer once told me, "spring the bike for the weight it carries, dampen the bike for the springs".

6 is enough if the forking action is slickly progressive with smooth stopping and reversing. Come on out to the Ozarks and try to visit anywhere not on main highways. Check fillings on short travel short stop forks. Got to be stiff or would bottom on hard brakes. Some like it rough or don't know what missing out on, so each to their own.

Gosh darn it, hobot, stop all the sex talk, this is a family web site!

Jest joshing you my friend, in case it's not obvious!
