Tank transfers

Does anyone know what transfers/decals go on Fireflake Blue tank and sidecovers, my understanding is that they are gold ,but not sure if solid gold or black edged gold,

On the early FFBlue bikes, through 70 tank decal is black with gold outline, panels are reverse, gold with black outline. Steadfast has a stick on for the tank that has a larger gold outline that I think is more like the originals. You'll have to cut it out with the outline because it's a large rectangle. It's my opinion most tank decals have a too thin outline.

On the subject of transfers, does anyone have a method of removing them without damaging the paint underneath?

Here's the 69/70 on FFBlue. If you have a 71 or newer, the panels will be different.



Here's the Steadfast tank stick-on. The color is messed up because I took it with florescent light and didn't adjust for it.

This is the original tank decal on original fireflake blue '73 750 steel tank. The original side cover decals were also gold with black. These were one-piece "sticker" type rather than the later die-cut ones. It is interesting to note that I have never seen a fireflake blue 850 that didn't have silver logos on the tank and sidecover.
