ok anyone with a shinny aluminium tank, do you bother with a tank pad, or just keep polishing it, or just leave it to add caricter ?

I would suggest that without a tank pad the rear of the tank will soon look quite scruffy.
If course, it will depend on clothing choice and midriff dimensions too...
I fitted a pad during my short period of alloy tank ownership...

Well here I go again. Nigel, I think the CF one would look better than the black on that tank, however, get silver with black lettering, no striping on edge to match that tank and lettering. Waiving my fee. Pro bono advice. Cuz I still haven't found what I'm looking for.
