Hi, does anyone have what the thread is for the tacho drive housing (which the cable screws onto)? The threads on mine have rolled slightly preventing getting it further than the first three or four threads, this explains most of my leak there, I think. Would like to see if I can recover it. It looks a bit finer than my UNF tap/die?

Should be 1/2" - 26 (the upper cable end, however, is M12 - 1.0 metric)

An aside ..... To stop rev cable oil

leak I did this . I carefully cut one and a half

coils fom what I will call the outer support spring .This then lets me slide the sleve nut back enough to put 4 tight turns of pink teflon tape on the
spigot / outer cable sleve above the flange
A dab of the bIue stuff and HEY PRESYO and not a sign of oil after 2591 miles , not a dribble in that crankcase grunge pocket .

It maybe somethning to look at when buying a new cable or a fix if you dont mind mods..

Anyway it works and saves money and it works . Fair dinkim .

The latest tacho drive housing now has an oil seal...

Existing housings can be modified to take an oil seal, not necessarily the AN one.
