I searched this question, but didn't find any previous reference.

The manual says, "coat the threads of the stanchion top nuts with 'well seal' jointing compound."

I've never heard of "well seal". And I don't recall a need for a thread sealant on other bikes. What do most people use these days for T120/140 forks?

I can't answer for most people but Wellseal is still popular in the UK, and what I use.

Thanks, LAB.
I Googled Stag Wellseal after your post. I had never come across it before. I remember Red Hermatite as being the go-to goop in days of yore!

As far as I can tell, Wellseal doesn't seem to be readily available in the USA. It looks like Hylomar Blue is the nearest thing to it here, i.e. sealing and non-hardening. Both Wellseal and Hylomar claim a Rolls Royce pedigree, if that matters (it probably doesn't).
