Switching location of tach drive from side to front of case

I am still mulling over sensible mods to my 68 g15 CS. How difficult would it be to switch locations of tach gear drive from the right hand side to the front of the engine case? This is mostly aesthetics.

You can only do this mod if you buy a set of later model Commando crankcases and have the appropriate cam shaft with the tach drive gear on it.

It woul be a lot easier to install an electronic tach, Motogadget http://motogadget.com/de/ has some really nice ones
