Does the new pivot bolt length matter ? I ordered what I thought was the correct bolt but it is the short one and my swing arm is the one designed for rubber o rings and not Welch plugs. I didn’t even think about it until after installation and installing the Kiegler modification. I have a long pivot bolt but it doesn’t have the two flat spots. Will the shorter bolt be sufficient. It concerns me that it’s not making full use of the bushes but ? Also if I need to use the longer one I suppose I’ll have to cut out shallow flat spots .

Technically, the short spindle is the wrong one for the pre-sealed pivot so yes some bush area will be lost, however, the sealed pivot bushes are shorter.

That's up to you, but then the flats are for the factory cottered cradle and not the Kegler clamps.

So I suppose it really isn’t an issue ?
