I think someone in Norton goofed up with what is labeled a Kill switch by implying to general public it was another way to shut off engine w/o the key fumble so should of been a one touch on off affair not spring back on, which has only one use for speed shifting WOT and hit hard by pilot trying to control traction, so would snap off a Norton plastic tab in the intensity-speed of the effort. Should have two, 1 little one w/o spring back and another about an inch in diameter ya can't miss but springs right back hardly skipping a power beat...

Yes it a rubbish idea but it was made before the world when health and safety mad. I friend of mine has many a very scary tell of riding a Triton with jammed open carbs by using kill switch to turn engine on and off to control speed so he could get home back in the day.

Most of the posts on here are people trying to keep the engine running though. It seems there are plenty of other things that Norton and PO did that will all help killl the motor :D

Ugh, on/off ignition switch in how pilots throttled early aircraft. If ever have stuck throttle w/o load you'll wish for a one touch toggle off instead of a spring back on version. Only real solution is both types in line with the jerk cord.

Or use a mk3 r/h switch cluster! as well
