I have a damaged hole on my commando cylinder block (1970 750cc). The hole is a 3/8" X 26 tpi and is located between the two cylinders and the push rod holes. I would post a picture if I could figure out how. I was wondering what size of thread is the other side of the stud? This should bolt down the engin head.

If you refer to the Norton Workshop manual, it would be hole #1 in the torquing sequence.

#1 is a bolt, NM25313 (06-7918) not a stud.
