OK, 15 mile drive, shakedown cruse, everything fine, Pazon firing solid, make the loop, start to shift down to turn into the road I live on, and no satisfaction. Stuck in 4th, loose lever. Thinking, make the turn, slipping clutch, onto road, thinking going down the road, can I make it up the hill? Turn into drive and bad decision, I'm either putting it in the barn cause not going to make it up the hill in 4th. Better idea, circle around barn, drive up to neighbors house, through yard, into the back of my garage and kill it about 20 feet from the garage door. Clutch is still working fine, don't know why I killed it.

Anyhow, outer GB cover off,
Stuck in Fourth

Some idiot that was in there last didn't tighten down the 2 bolts holding the shift assembly. I can't imagine who that could be? Fell out like you see. Nothing damaged. Gasket still good. Cleaned up, put it all back together, took about 45m to get the shift assembly into its position so the outer cover will seat. Small amount of blue sauce on shift assembly bolts. Closed up, adjusted clutch at perch, shifts fine in situ. Start up, first kick, seems fine but now is raining.

Next ride, I'm changing all oils, taking off the air filter, putting on the K&N, because that stupid hole in the front of the oil tank is leaking, got ideas about that. Do another valve lash adjustment, but it's sounding real good on the road and the Pazon seems to make it run a bit smoother and consistent.

Already have chick complements on the sound. Can't get much better than that.

Are you using the old star washers or are they new
Don't reuse the star washer on your rotor/  you will find out why the hard way. False economy.

Put her on the back of the bike and you'll get more than a compliment.

New star washers, I probably just didn't tighten them.

Yes, I was thinking about the last time I had a hot chick stuck to my back holding on for dear life. Doesn't get much better than that, she may be up for a ride, but I wouldn't want to get on the bad side of her hubby, he's my neighbor and helps a lot, plus he's a lot stronger and younger than me, but boy is she hot. My wife's hot too, just older and a Swede, so it takes a while to warm up.

I would not be too anxious to change the air filter until the rings are well seated.
