If you want to compare a Democrat president to Trump, let’s compare the country’s economic performance under Obama to that of Trump. Obama took office with the economy in free fall (Thank you Geo. Bush). DJIA below 8,000. Unemployment nearly 10%. Losing over 700,000 jobs per month. Obama left office with the Dow over 19,000. Jobless rate of 4.7%. Adding hundreds of thousand jobs per month. If you compare Trump’s record to that of Obama, Trump has not moved the needle much.

Barack Obama was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for all he had done to achieve world peace, and so on. All of this during his first 11 days in office in 2009. That's quite an achievement for just over a week's work! ;)
 
If ever another likeness of a president is carved on Mount Rushmore it very possibly could be that of Barrack Obama. It definitely will not be that of impeached president Trump.
 
Had my twenty minute ride to forget all these daily woes and it worked magnificently, but it was soon( mid-ride) replaced by the glaring need to clean out my in-line fuel filters.... little blubber here, cough there, miss or two tossed in. So see there are much more important things than politics & party BS.

As long as her period remains regular I'm assured she's not sneaked off and got herself pregnant. Don't need a little ES2 running around.

Jimmy Carter wasn't very effective nor the strongest potus, but he could most probably be the only honest one to sit the office, so to him I tip my hat.

1. The USA is already a socialist nation. Has been since the Great Depression required the government to exist FOR THE PEOPLE and
WW2 required governmental control of the means of production.

Name calling are not facts... make an argument instead,... just once.

I said this to Danno once, and I'll say it to you too. You should watch the documentary "Inside Job", so you get a better idea of who is to blame for the bank debacle of 2008. It's not a partisan piece at all. Even if you don't like it for whatever reason, you'll see a lot of facts and events strung together which should make you question a lot of the things each side of the aisle promotes as the truth.

Was Tesla a lazy man? Tesla died broke, yet others, mainly capitalists, made millions from his numerous inventions. Many trust fund millionaires are without any ambition or any contribution to society. How much money one accumulates is not the sole measure of success or ambition or lack thereof.

A: I will tell you,... It means that people's culture, (NOT COLOR) has a lot to do with how they develop skills in their lives. That "nerdy Jewish kid" is expected to study hard by his parents and go to law school or medical school, and the cultural pressure on him is greater than some black kid, or some white farm boy in kansas. It's not racial inequality, it's different cultural priorities.

Modern america has evolved way beyond that racial shit now, although it's still a good card to play to try to injure a politician...

My middle class white guys point was to point out that in each of your examples none of the founders were lifting themselves out of poverty. They enjoyed the benefits and advantages afforded to the majority ruling class and culture in the good ol USA.

You think all Americans have garages or dorm rooms at Harvard? You think the impoverished have the spare time to tinker with circuit boards in their unused 2 car garage? GIVE ME A BREAK.

You can't be serious Frank. Sport has ALWAYS been a means to escape poverty for minorities in America.

You make a good point but it doesn't really get at the heart of what I'm saying.

The cultural institution of America, the way it is structured from the bottom up affords advantages to white people. It's an undeniable fact.

White Frank will be treated differently when he applies to a job compared to black Frank. Even more so for Jamal, Tyrone or Jashon. Not ALWAYS but often enough to stack the deck.

This has the effect of putting white folks in a better position to benefit from capitalism.

But by your logic it's because black families don't like money and don't want successful children, just football players!
