Thanks for the comments and encouragement. These builds really take a while and parts can be expensive so encouragement can help sustain momentum.
I have most of a motor on the bench but it needs to be completely rebuilt.
Yes, my other Commando is in the background. I bought a set of triple trees and front fender from CNW. Garry was nice enough to bring them to the rally in Wyoming last year while I was driving through. Anyways, I had a set of triple trees, a front fender, front wheel hub and rear wheel hub that I was going to put on my other Commando but my wife said "Hey you have most of a second bike there! You should build another Commando." She has two bikes herself and I think she wants a brit bike. She has also suggested that when not actively building a bike I am "A SOB who walks around the house complaining".
I am not sure what the bike will look like when completed. I really like to fabricate my own parts but I want to keep the bike looking stock. Every bike I have built in the past always turns out different than what I was thinking about when I started. I really like the CNW look and style and love the upgrades they have. Chopped/non traditional stuff hurts my eyes. I also like to work metal engraving (not my own work) into metal parts.
Cheers,
Kyle
