There is a seller on ebay selling stainless steel classic bike rims :

I don't know what the grade is, but I'd guess at 304 or 316. Does anyone know how these might hold up in use? Is work hardening and/or stress cracking a problem? Wire-spoked wheels flex a lot. I'd be pretty PO-ed if a wheel broke in half when I was doing 80 or 90 mph! Any metallurgists out there?

Triumph and Norton have different dimpling patterns!

You need to watch that stuff...

I don't think I would buy those, they are pre-drilled and may only fit a few hubs yet the seller mentions they fit a number of hubs, even the ones with a spool on one side and a brake on the other, those require a very specific drilling pattern. I like alloy rims and all the ones I received from Bucchanan's were perfectly drilled, even the odball ones I asked for.

I guarantee you, Buchanan does it right, PERIOD.

I also recommend you stay as far away from East Coast Wheel as possible! (Long story, with full documentation)

The rims are made in India by the same company that makes them for Enfield, they are punched for a full width hub, there is alittle wiggle room but not enough for the offset on Norton wheels.
I have used them on some wheel projects where they fit for other people I lace wheels for. They polish up very nice. Buchanans is the place to get rims and spokes that fit, I've laced 100's of wheels over the years with their products with no issues.
