Stainless Steel Rims from India

I have used them and based on the lower UK pricing for stainless rims recently even UK sourced ones are possibly from India too. You will need to do some more finishing than a non Indian rim, burrs on the drilled holes will need grinding and a good 1/2 hr on a polishing wheel to get it looking good. I have had no problems with hole angles and sizes, the main issue is the weld, most are ok and will true up ok as all of mine have so far but I have seen comments that some welds can't. They will not be stamped Made in UK (but one enterprising ebay seller has added this stamping !!)

I got two WM3s from central wheel company rather than gambling on ebay rims. I think they where Indian as the spoke holes needed defashing an one has kink where they are welded other than that they where ok. I got my local bike shop to do final truing an tightening as its an old fashioned shop an the old owner does hundreds of wheels a year. The bike shop said tho the rim welded area was not great he had seen plenty like it an some worse so I used it an it seem ok an doesn't affect the bike.

I've used Wassell stainless rims and despite needing a bit of fettling to de-burr the drillings, I'm actually quite impressed.
They look more like chrome than stainless, and build up just fine. I'll definitely be using them again.
I couldn't say where they originate from, but at the price I wouldn't be surprised if they came from the same source.
They do have Wassell stamped on them, BTW.
