Sprocket

I have a 74 850 mk11a, can anyone please tell me what the standard gear box sprocket is? 19t ?

I have been reading a little about the layshaft bearing upgrade. If I`m running the stock sprockets is the upgrade necessary ? Was there a problem with the stock bearing failing? I have only had this bike a month and I see I have a lot to learn. Thank You and ride safe.

21 tooth was standard
19t was fitted to US 750 and maybe some US 850 for improved acceleration and also gave better flexibility in mountain driving.
Pretty hilly where I live and a 20 tooth seems to work well.
Ifyou are on the learning curve, may I recommend the CD with all the manuals asa wall as trying to get the Mick hemmings DVDs, lots of good info.
