Man, it's been a long time since I was last here. I never did finish my '73 850 interstate project, ended up having to sell it (thankfully, to my dad.. So it's safe) a few years back to close out some credit lines. I'll be back, someday..I hope.

Anyway, I was out garage saling this morning and I happened upon a really nice looking MK3, recently back from Baxter. Tbh I think it's the first one I've seen around here besides everything sitting in my dad's shop. Kind of neat to see them out there still.

I asked if I could take a picture and acknowledged I knew it wasn't for sale, to which he said "actually...." and then told me how he has around 15 in it and how he recently paid Baxter 5K to bring it back up to snuff... And how he'd sell, but not for a dime under 10...

So no offer made, but that's probably for the best. It would be horrible timing for me to even consider such a thing. It'd have to be cheap.. :(

I understand because mine was stored many years due to raising a family with not much left to do her justice, but I had other bikes to destroy...... Sorry I'm going off both of your threads here. Don't fret because with minimal maintenance it'll wait patiently until you've got both time and money to share with it. Time & patience rectify most situations.... Problem with that is you are almost too old and decrepit to ride the beastie when you get there. Smile and keep the rust off it.
