I found 60 ft/lbs for the front one and 80ft/lbs for the back two. Are those currently accepted #'s?

The 850 Workshop Manual says, and I quote - fit and tighten the wheel nuts.

Where did you find those numbers ?

Doing everything by numbers doesn't always work.
How tight do those numbers feel ??
Tighten them up to what feels reasonable, and then use the torque wrench to test what that value actually is ??

Having acquired in the past several bikes which have had stripped axle nuts or axle threads, it is quite possible to overdo it.
I'd also comment that (much) earlier Nortons seemingly had hardened axles, which are probably impossible to strip. ?

P.S. 80 ft/lbs would (probably) be more than the spanner in the toolkit could achieve ??

Old Britts torque specs, came up first in Scroogle search. Seemed excessive to me that's why I asked. I didn't even get close with my torque wrench before they seemed sufficiently tight. Ended up around 50-55ft/lbs. I was just curious what others have settled on and feel seems to be it.

A 10" adjustable spanner is all the torque I put on the axle nuts. Stories of stripped threads in the stub axle surfacing at a bad time abound. YMMV
