Speedo/Tach repair

I'm replacing the cracked glass on my green dot speedometer and wondered if there are any tricks for getting the old bezel off without damage, and for getting a new one on without damage using home garage tools.....TIA

You need to be very lucky to remove the bezel without damage. Best to plan on buying the bezel/glass kit offered by many British parts dealers. Installing this requires patience to not wrinkle the metal as you crimp on the new bezel. A friend of mine designed a jig using a ball bearing and drill press that does a nice job.
