1971 Commando, I will be running:
Dual output coil (CNW),
I can't find any specs but it appears to be a Crane #8-3006 http://cranecams.com/?show=eIgnitions ,
Tri Spark,
drawing 1A at idle and 2A at WOT,
H4 headlight,
Candlepower Super Bright 5 3/4", http://store.candlepower.com/53casubrla.html , I think it's a 55/60 halogen bulb but I'm not sure! (on a SPDT relay),
Delco horn,
drawing 5.5AMPS @ 12V (on a relay),
LED brake/tail light,
a Miller replica "stop" with the VOCLED1 kit, 19 LEDS with a draw of .13 Amps (Low) & .65 Amps (High),
LED Instrument bulbs,
drawing .35MA (X2),
LED license plate lights (4, they are in the bolts),
drawing .30MA current, 0.36 watts a pair (X2),
LED high beam indicator (single LED),
Fusebox (Centech AP-1).
I have a NOS Wassell 120W alternator, a Tympanium solid state unit, I will be running a custom harness (16G, -GND) with the ABSOLUTE minimum wire in it, a 2 position boat ignition switch (headlight on with the ignition) and Pingel Switchgear. I'm looking at a UPS battery in 9AH but because of space-concerns I would LOVE to run something smaller if I could, ideally it would be this http://www.power-sonic.com/site/doc/prod/86.pdf.
The thing that drove me nuts about my 1973 850 was that the headlight "pulsed" at redlights, should I run a Capacitor to eliminate this?
I'm such an Electrical Idiot that I don't even know what questions to ask, have I forgotten anything?
