So I have a new Sparx single phase alternator which has the following specs (max listed only).
Single Phase Alternator
RPM SPARX ALT AMPS SPARX ALT WATTS
7000 11.30 158.20
( Regulated at 14 volts )
There are apparently 2 different single phase podtronic units. The standard which is listed at 160W and the 200W version. The 200W version is apparently intended for new stators which are rated at 180W.
From Old Britts the difference in price is $4, is there any reason that I shouldn't go for the higher rated one? I'll never flog the bike at a continuous 7k rpm...
