One more step in the process. I just received the invoice from Carmen, but when I asked about payment methods, she said all they accept at the moment is BACS. Turns out BACS is a UK only system for transferring money between banks, so I have no way of paying from the US. But, I looked up more about the BACS system, and found a statement that in the UK people often refer to any kind of bank transfer as a "Bacs", whether it involves an actual BACS transfer or not. So maybe a normal international money transfer will work. I asked Carmen about that, and am awaiting her answer. It's starting to look kind of expensive.

It shouldn't be a problem for Norton-TVS to link a sales account to a Paypal account? This should reduce the fees at least.
Normal bank transfers between NA and Europe is surprisingly awkward still. In Europe we have had SAPA transfers for several years (no fees if the transaction is handled electronically). An innovation by the EU.

I lied, just emptied my catch bottle and noticed that my chrome chain guard is starting to split at the forward mount :(
MIne is painted so an easier fix, but i have had the cracked front mount rewelded and a doubler plate added to both the front and rear mounts. Seems to be effective so far.

This happened to me as well. I did not even consider repairing it , but replaced with the carbon fiber version. The way I stop this from happening is to use rubber flat washers under the steel flat washers. Do not over-tighten the bolt , use medium strength loctite to keep the bolt from loosening . The hugger needs to wiggle a bit , this will prevent the cracking . Same thing for chain guard whether steel or carbon fiber . An update , I did repair my steel chain guard , maybe I should sell it to lcrken ?

I've bought a carbon guard and will have it fitted Wednesday, will take your advice re: tightening/loctite. Does the CF guard suffer the same fate or is it proving more durable?

It is more durable , but I wouldn't just torque it down tight. I've got many thousand miles with my setup and at interstate speeds.

I took the guard off, not wanting to take my chances of it coming off on it's own...... first pic is the top side, evidence of chrome splitting nearly the length of the front bracket, but wait......

second pic is underside of the same bracket, chrome is split along the bracket AND through the mounting hole, but what is that by the red arrow??? I'm not into conspiracy theories but that looks suspiciously like a hacksaw blade cut !
