My 1971 project came with a brand new Hepolite / JCC Pistons.

Unfortunately, the sets includes the notorious red bagged flat style Circlips.

Is there an alternate source, other than McMaster Car for the correct circlips?

I am in Canada and they only will ship north of the border to a business account.

Andover offers the the flat style Circlip and may be an option as will likely be putting in an order in the coming weeks.

I also think I am going to splurge for some Hasting Rings.

Good luck on the hastings rings. I believe they don't make them anymore.
Maybe some new old stock. I got the correct english size circliip at mcmaster carr. The one with the kit is metric and a little loose. Other online places like grainger and msc direct.

Yes, was looking to pick up some nos Hastings rings.

Never thought of Grainger. I should be able to order from them.

Hi, I have just purchased a pair of Hepolite/JCC pistons for my 850 Mk3 and they have the very same red bagged Circlips mentioned here which I now gather should not be used as they are apparently metric and loose fitting. Can anyone please confirm if the Andover ones are suitable replacements.

RGM do them and they fit well, AN should be good too but no personal experience.
