    Nice! - Is that some kind of bass?
    We have a dam stocked with barramundi about 15km up the road from here.
    My daughter took this sequence not too long back.
    30lb braid whining out though the guides sorta gets the pulse racing.

    Yes. In the Northeast, USA, we call that a striped bass or simply a Striper. In the southern states, they call it a Rockfish. They survive in fresh, brackish and salt water. That ones an ocean fish. The others don't get that large. 40 inch, about 36 lbs. Nice haul ya got there yerself!!! Big fat slob of a fish!!! I caught 2 and released them both. I was in the mood for Lasagna.
